Accessibility Statement
Our commitment
This site is built to the WCAG 2.2 AA principles. Accessibility is treated as part of the design rather than as a compliance layer added at the end.
What has been done
- Colour contrast was calculated rather than eyeballed. Combinations that fail are documented and prohibited in the internal design system, including one accent pairing that fails and is therefore never used for text.
- Colour is never the only way information is conveyed. Status and availability always carry a text label.
- Semantic HTML with a single H1 per page and a logical heading order.
- Full keyboard operability with visible focus states and a sensible tab order.
- Body text never falls below 16px, and article text is set with a limited line length and generous line height.
- All motion is minimal, short, and reduced to an instant state change under prefers-reduced-motion.
- Square corners and high contrast are used consistently so interactive elements are easy to distinguish.
Known limitations
- The site is under active construction and new pages are added regularly. Each is checked, but issues will occur.
- A full audit with assistive technology has not yet been completed. An internal audit document is maintained and updated.
- Third-party components, including the cookie consent banner and the form plugin, are not fully under our control and are being assessed.
- No photography exists yet, so alt text for product and editorial imagery cannot be finalised.
