Fit
Cut from the same block as the long sleeve, so anyone who owns both should not have to learn two sizes. The sleeve is intended to sit above the elbow rather than at it, because a short sleeve that ends on the joint binds every time the arm flexes. As with the long sleeve, this is intent rather than measurement.
There is no size chart on this page and there will not be one until we can measure production garments and publish flat measurements rather than a forecast derived from a pattern. Size interest
There is no size selector here because there is nothing to select. What is useful right now is the opposite direction: telling us what you would want, so that the first production run is sized against real demand rather than an industry average. The Edition 001 list collects preferred sleeve length and expected size for exactly this reason.
Design story
Edition 001 is the first thing Guard Theory will make, and the constraint we set for it was that the graphic had to survive being looked at for two years rather than photograph well once. That rules out most of what the category does: no flames, no skulls, no borrowed kanji, no full-bleed camouflage of a brand identity that has not earned the space yet.
What it leaves is the GT monogram, the geometry underneath it, and the discipline to use very little else. The mark was drawn around interlocking structure and opposing force — the idea that control is two things pushing against each other in a way that only one of them planned — and the garment graphic is an extension of that drawing rather than a decoration applied on top of it.
The commercial argument for restraint is simpler. A rash guard you can wear to an open mat at a gym that is not yours, without explaining yourself, gets worn more.
Care
Care instructions will be published with the garment and derived from the actual fabric rather than copied from a template. The general principles for any sublimated technical knit — wash cold, wash promptly, skip the softener, never tumble dry — are set out in the Journal, along with why heat rather than wear is what usually kills a rash guard.
Shipping and returns
No carrier is contracted, no destinations are confirmed and no return window is set. The shipping policy and return policy exist as drafts so the terms can be reviewed before anything is sold, and both are clearly marked as provisional. We would rather publish a draft that says it is a draft than a confident policy we cannot yet honour.

None. Nobody has worn this. There is no review widget on this page, no aggregate rating and no testimonial, because manufacturing social proof for a product that does not exist is the exact behaviour this brand was set up to avoid.
